November in general
I wish I could blog more consistently. I use to write in my journal a lot but since I've filled it up and just too lazy to buy another one that's as good as that one, I can't. Everyday is a blessing and I want to share that with others.
To sum it up God's been so faithful to me when I haven't been. I'm thankful for just the friendships I've built, relationships that have grown and are continually growing.
Certain situations happen for a reason and I am aware of each one that I come across is for my own personal growth. God is allowing for many things to occur in my life right now.
I realized that I have grown into my mom. When I was 12 I wondered how my mom was the way she is. I couldn't understand her love for God. How could she be so devoted, how could anyone be so devoted.
We don't appreciate the little things in life, thank you Chelsea Bongolan for showing me that.
Independence is hard to earn but very valuable to gain, thank you kuya for leaving to go to China.
Lord you show me each day how life shouldn't be taken for granted and we must not waste our life not getting to know you.
I went to volunteer at Constitution Park today to help feed the low income families and homeless. I saw a familiar face and I got excited to see Thuy spend Thanksgiving volunteering as well. I was blessed to see her for reals. Anyways, we went to hand out waters together and we ended up going to one guy all the way in the corner. We were able to talk to him and about his homeless life and days in the mental hospital. It was an intense talk about war, love, and killing. All I could think of was "vengeance is mine sayeth the Lord." It was very difficult trying to explain that when there is so much hatred in heart. I tried to understand his situation but I just could not. I wish I could have explained myself better.
Another blessing today was to spend time with Alex Hong's family. I learned some history of the Vietnamese Boat People. That was pretty cool got a first hand story of life during that time through Alex's mom. It was awesome I think my kuya would've enjoyed that!
Most awesomest blessing for today was spending time with my family plus a special bonus guest, Laiza! It was great to catch up with her and just sharing much life stories. My family and her bonded over dinner and a tagalog movie. It was great to see her finally after couple months. I have mad respect for her. God's been so gracious. But it was awesome...seriously best thanksgiving everrrrrr.
